Worked with a team of digital media specialists in the Diversey Care division to provide online resources for teaching clients about numerous products. In this postion I have used PHP, Javascript, CSS, and HTML to upgrade a sizable website used internationally.

Learned Ruby on Rails at The Iron Yard's Atlanta Campus

Graduated from the Iron Yard's immersive programming bootcamp. Created a github portfolio demonstrating working knowledge of Ruby on Rails, SQLite3, PostgreSQL, Heroku, AWS, and the ability to create efficient API wrappers.

Introduced to Computer Programming at UNC-Charlotte

At UNC-Charlotte I was first introduced to concepts such as object oriented programming, data structures, relational databases, and software engineering. Learned programming languages such as Java, C++, MSSQL, and was exposed to several others as well.

Navy Veteran with Experience in Information Technology

Honorably discharged as IT2 (Information Systems Technician, Petty Officer Second Class) after fulfilling my 4 year contract. Gained valuable skills in computer networks, security, and leadership.

Product Selector

Allows a user to filter through over 250 products until they narrow their selection to the product or group of products that they are looking for (results can be seen after the first 2 filtration selections). Additionally it contains a sidebar dropdown menu to filter further. Images can be selected and will display more valuable information on the products.

Dilution Calculator

Allows a user to filter through dilution control platform (previously called brand), product category, products, and the product's dilution ratio before entering a price per case to apply the the previous selections. The application then uses the user selected dilution ratio and the price per case combined with the bottles per case (associated with the product), computes end use quarts and end use gallons, and displays the information in a chart below the selections.

Floor Care Solutions

Contains three sections: Troubleshooting (index page automatically transfers the user to this page), Substrates, and Pad Selection.
- Troubleshooting displays numerous pictures of issues that Diversey products are designed to help with. If you click on an image it will list a discription of the problem, a solution, and often shows the product best suited to help with the issue.
- Substrates is set up similarly to Troubleshooting except when an image is clicked on, the new page displays a description, key notes, and maintenance techniques. Some of these pages give the option to scroll through images as these floor types often look very different.
- Pad Selection uses an iframe to display a 2 page pdf containing pad information and recommendations.
- Calculator computes the amount of time and resources necissary to clean/maintain a specified area.

Inside the Park

Allows a user to create an itinerary and fill it with events (baseball games) extracted from an API. The user could choose a day and an event from that day, which would allow the application to show the next day’s events, continuing until the user stops adding events. The user will then be able to view their itinerary with all the details related to the events scheduled for each day.

Müdr

Allows a user in an unhappy mood to make a post, and have others make cheerful comments on their post. Comments could then be ranked and top commenters would be placed on a leaderboard.

Blog App

A blog site that allows a user to create posts, allows for users to comment and/or vote on both posts and other comments. Also contains a page to see the user profile with stats on activity and popularity in relation to posts, comments, and votes. Utilizes the materialize gem for front-end styling. It was a solo project in which I designed both the front-end and back-end.

- Ruby on Rails - Of all the programming languages I know, I am the most confident in Ruby on Rails. - PHP - Used PHP for the back-end of all the sites I worked on at Sealed Air Diversey Care. Used primarily to access information from Google Sheets API and transform that data into a new data structure in JSON.
- Java - Most of my programming in college was done using Java. My knowledge of concepts like object oriented programming, CRUD, and various data structions using Java gave me a solid foundation in learning Ruby.
- C++ - This was the first programming language I learned in college. Gave me the foundation for learning Java later.

- Sole developer on Diversey Care training team.
- Communicated with others to ensure applications are highly functional and appropriately catered to the user.

- Learned PHP and JavaScript from scratch with no assistance from any individual.
- Created Dilution Calculator, Product Selector, and Floor Care Solutions from scratch.
